Japanese Culture in an Onitsuka Tiger

Posted in Art & Design by Dy Allo on January 24, 2008

To signify the heritage and history that Onitsuka Tiger has within Japan, they have commissioned design firm Freedom of Creation to design a meter long Onitsuka Tiger symbolic of the Japanese culture. Every aspect of the shoe has its place within the scene in Japan, from the ever busy skyscrapers and cranes, to the highways that run the seams of the shoe. The Tiger city even comes with its own monster terrorizing the city.

The design firm is also creating mini versions of the city shoe to sell at smaller stores, and a USB flash drive is also being produced to be sold with the shoe. The details on this shoe are top quality. I wonder what an Air Force 1 would look like if it represented the US? Detailed picture after the jump.
